RETURN TO NUKE ‘EM HIGH VOLUMES 1 & 2. She can next be seen as part of Larry Fessenden's "Monsterverse" in the visceral werewolf horror drama BLACKOUT from Glass Eye Pix (DEPRAVED, HABIT, MOST BEAUTIFUL ISLAND). Other film credits include THE CREEPER’S CURSE, EROS POINT, THE SHADOW SCARF, SOCIOPATHIA, and NBC’s SHADES OF BLUE. As someone who loves the stage, Asta's acting foundation was training at the prestigious University of Minnesota/ Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program as well as study at the Globe Theater, the London International School for Performing Arts, Upright Citizens Brigade, and various teaching artists. Notably she has appeared onstage in Jeffrey Baker's experimental 'The Pretenders', Elysium Theatre Collective's folk musical 'Bob Meets Bob' as Joan Baez and Guthrie Theater's dark comedy 'Tiny Disasters' originating the role of Ursa Minor. Passionate about advocacy & representation; Asta has an active role in LATINAS ACTING UP. This organization, co-founded by Diana Maria Riva and Lisa Vidal, is a platform and powerful movement of Latinas in the entertainment industry joining forces to share the impact of their collective voices. Asta is an acclaimed producer under ABANDONED HOUSE PRODUCTIONS alongside her husband and frequent collaborator Clay von Carlowitz. She is also the creator and host of the podcast series CHATTING WITH ASTA featuring guests that include Jenn Wexler (THE RANGER), Frank Sabatella (THE SHED), Ted Geoghegan (WE ARE STILL HERE), Jill Gevargizian (THE STYLIST), Alex Essoe (STARRY EYES) and the team behind the pandemic horror hit HOST.
